ANANTNAG: Under the special industry initiative UDAAN, a special recruitment drive will be organized at Government Degree College Kokernag, on 16th and 17th of November 2015. Corporates from across the country will be visiting Degree College Kokernag for the two day recruitment drive and will be selecting students for imparting job oriented training in association with National Skill Development Corporation.
This drive is a part of a program being conducted in the State to select talented youth and to train them to get employment in the corporate sector. Eight more such drives are planned in the state during the current month to cover far flung areas including Handwara, Bandipora, Shopian, Tral Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch.
Till date the scheme UDAAN has partnered with 63 corporate units and has conducted more than 400 selection drives in the state, selecting 17219 candidates for various training programmes and job profiles. 13129 have joined training, out of which 7411 candidates have completed training and 6083 have been offered jobs.
