Take action, prevent such incidents in future: KUTA Tells Govt.

SRINAGAR: Kashmir University Teachers Association Monday condemned the killing of Zahid Rasool Bhat. Zahid was attacked by a Hindu communal mob in Udhampur in the intervening night of 09/10 October after which he was hospitalised in Safdarjung Hospital at New Delhi.

KUTA condemned and expressed grief over the tragic death of Zahid Bhat and conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family and in this hour of grief KUTA stands with them

“The culprits should be given heinous punishment as per the law so that it serves deterrent for lawbreakers. Government should take urgent and effective steps to prevent such incidents in future,” a statement by KUTA said conveying their condolences to the bereaved family.

“Such heart rending acts of violence widen the gulf between various sections of the society and leave lasting scars of affliction and anguish,” the KUTA spokesperson added.
