Police arrests Budgam man for Agri-land conversion

BUDGAM: Police on Thursday arrested a man for converting agriculture land for other purposes in this central Kashmir district.  

A senior police officer said that in a joint operation of Police and Revenue authorities, one Bashir Ahmad of Ompora Budgam was arrested for trying to convert agricultural land by way of filling it and trying to make a fair weather path through it near railway station Ompora.

“A case FIR No 287/2015 u/s 188 and 379,427,447 RPC has been registered against him and the investigation is going on,” SSP Budgam, Fayaz Ahmad Lone said.
