Pak Keen On Geelani’s Pakistan Visit


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has stated the visit of Hurriyat patriarch and chairperson of his APHC faction Syed Ali Geelani to Islamabad on the invitation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif can be “useful in projecting the voice of Kashmiris in Pakistan and internationally”.

“Hurriyat is the primary consultant of the individuals of Jammu and Kashmir. Because of the political stature of Geelani, Prime Minister Sharif has invited him to visit Pakistan and trade views on the present state of affairs in Indian Occupied Kashmir,” stated Qazi Khaliullah, Pakistan Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, in response to a query that not permitting the Hurriyat chairman to visit Pakistan is not a violation of human rights?
