SRINAGAR: An undercover enquiry conducted by The State Vigilance Commission through Vigilance Organization, established that Data Base System of Gulmarg Gondola Project provided by the Contractor Firm namely Afford Infocom Pvt. Ltd had been compromised to obtain fake tickets on Net, by bypassing the payment Gateway of Gulmarg Gondola.
During the enquiry it was found that Data Base Administrator of the Firm namely Arif Rasool Bhat R/O Khawaja Bagh Baramulla in connivance with his associates has manipulated the data to facilitate illegal benefit to himself and some Travel Agencies.
The secret codes of the system were misused and manipulated in connivance with some Travel Agents and so far detection of fake tickets worth 4,89,000/- have come to light. The fake tickets were manipulated to pass the verification check point at the Base Camp to avoid any suspicion.
On the basis of this revelation, case FIR No. 124/2015 has been registered in P/S Sadder Srinagar for further investigation.
