‘Drunk’ SOG men beat labourers

POONCH: Three non-local labourers working in Mendhar Tehsil of Poonch district were beaten to pulp by a party of police’s Special Operation Group (SOG) last night.

The labourers identified as Ajmal (25), Akhtar (28) of Uttar Pradesh and Rahul Kumar (20) of Haryana were ruthlessly thrashed by SOG personals led by Selection Grade Constable (SGC) Sikandar Hussain. 

They have been hospitalized at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Mendhar for treatment.

Meanwhile, the owners of the Showroom have lodged a complaint against the SOG personal in police station Mendhar. Confirming the lodging of complaint, the SHO Mendhar Anzar Mir said the prompt action as per law would be taken against the accused SOG men.
