Every constituency to get CFCs: Minister

SRINAGAR: Government has decided to establish Common Facility Centres (CFCs) in every constituency of the State, the Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq told at a meeting here today.

Work on such centres would begin soon, the meeting informed. “Each CFC would be constructed at an estimated cost Rs 50 lakh by converging funds from the 13th Finance Commission award and MGNREGA,” Haq said. “The CFCs would be utilized for both private as well as government functions like marriage ceremonies and official meetings.”
