2448 tablets of banned drug seized, 3 held

Bandipora:- Bandipora police have recovered 2448 tablets of Spasmoproxyvon from the possession of three peddlers who have been arrested.

Acting on specific information, a police party of Police Station Sumbal headed by SHO Sumbal Mehboob Hussain Banday under the supervision of SDPO Sumbal Rashid Akbar laid an ambush at Rakh Asham. 

In the process, a Santro vehicle bearing registration number JKO5A-4248 was intercepted and searched yielding to the seizing of 2448 tablets of Spasmoproxyvon.

Three peddlers, Ashiq Hussain Lone son of Reyaz Ahmad Lone, Alamgeer Ashraf Lone son of Muhammad Rafiq and Ahsan-ul-haq Lone son of Mohammad Rafiq residents of village Wagub, Sopore have been arrested.

Bandipora police has registered a case FIR number 169/2015 under section 8/21 NDPS Act and investigation was taken up.
