Srinagar: The army today claimed to have arrested a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant in Handwara area of north Kashmirs Kupwara district.
An army spokesman said that the surveillance team of local Rashtriya Rifles unit operating in the area of Drushpura forests today morning apprehended a militant found moving under suspicious circumstances.
The spokesman claimed that the militant was moving along with one 9MM Pistol. On further integration he revealed his identity to be Bilal Ahmed Nazar, resident of Chhan Mohalla Badrahar in Handwara and led the team to recovery of one AK-47 and other war like stores, the spokesman said. The spokesman said the militant has been handed over to police.
