Anantnag: Flash floods have damaged nearly a dozen houses, washed away a diversion bridge and forced hundreds of people to move towards safer places in Kulgam district of south Kashmir.
According to reports, at least a dozen houses, seven among them have suffered extensive damage due to flash floods In Laisoo area of Kulgam district, where people living along the banks of Vaishaw nallah were asked to move to safer places.
In Kelam Gund, the villagers were evacuated after the flood waters entered residential houses, reports said.
A diversion bridge constructed after last years September floods at Chambgund was also washed away by the gushing waters of Vaishaw Nallah.
