Mufti master of propaganda, hiding failures beneath photo shoots
BEERWAH: National Conference Working President and MLA Beerwah, Omar Abdullah, Saturday said that the extent, to which the PDP-BJP government has failed, was shocking.
Theres absolutely no sign of basic governance in the State apart from the self-validated world of photo-shoots and press statements, Omar said.
While inspecting the functioning of Primary Health Centers (PHCs) and Hospitals in Beerwah Constituency for the second day, Omar released an amount of Rs15.5 lakhs for the purchase of equipment, medicine and various other repair works.
He announced a further release of Rs six lakh for BMO Magam, Khaag for purchase of a CBC analyzer and vital repairs to the labour room.
He gave Rs. 3.5 lakh for Primary Health Center (PHC) Poshkar for purchase of an ambulance.
An amount of Rs six lakh was given to BMO Beerwah for the purchase of vital diagnostic equipment.
During the tenure of the previous Government, the Health Sector was treated as a priority, Omar said. We not only constructed new Primary Health Centers and Sub-District Hospitals across the length and breadth of this State but also ensured that existing hospitals are upgraded with the latest infrastructure and facilities. There is hardly any Hospital, Omar said that the previous government did not upgrade. Sadly, the new government has failed to even restock and replenish vital supplies and equipment in our hospitals and health centers after the devastation caused by the floods in September, he said. Nothing could be more tragic.
Omar said the scale and extent of failure of the PDP-BJP government could be gauged by the fact that hospitals are without stethoscopes, diagnostic equipment, ambulances and delivery sets. The people are suffering, he said. Its heartrending that doctors dont even have stethoscopes and delivery sets.
While the Chief Minister is basking in the glory of photo-shoots, the complete collapse of the State Government cannot be concealed by his rhetoric anymore, He said. Mufti Sahab is the master of marketing and propaganda.
