SRINAGAR: A week long Cleanliness drive would be undertaken across the State from 25th September to 2nd October.
The decision was taken today in a high level meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of Housing & Urban Development Department and allied departments.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Cleanliness Week would go a long way in inculcating the sense of having clean and pollution free environment in the State.
He said that the scheme envisaged by the Prime Minister would be instrumental in promoting the hygiene and shall also lay the importance of having clean environment and surroundings.
