Amusement park reopened at Pahalgam

PAHALGAM: Minister for Horticulture, Haj and Auqaf, Abdul Rehman Veeri threw open the Lidder Valley Amusement Park here on Thursday.

Set up and renovated by the J&K Bank Ltd as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the park has been built at a cost of Rs 3.20 crore.

Chairman J&K Bank, Mushtaq Ahmad, Secretary Tourism, Farooq Ahmad Shah, Executive President J&K Bank, Parviz Ahmad, senior officers of J&K Bank, Tourism Department, large number of tourists and locals were present on the occasion.

Veeri said present government has accorded top priority to the promotion of Tourism in the state. “Footprint of high-end tourists will only improve if we take steps towards creating world class facilities at all major tourist destinations,” he said.
