BJP concocting alibi in unaccomplished Mission-44
SRINAGAR: Chairman Peoples Democratic Front, Hakim Muhammad Yasin Thursday accused Narendra Modi Government of giving step-motherly treatment to Kashmir.
Modi is not treating Kahsmiris at par as they made his Mission 44 unsuccessful, Hakim said. BJP should change their behaviour and attitude towards the people of Kashmir. It has been over a year and yet Modi government has not been announcing a financial package for the flood hit people of Valley.
Non-commitment on flood rehabilitation package is more of NDA and BJPs step-motherly treatment towards Kashmir, he added.
While training guns on PDP, Hakim Yasin said that all the promises made by Mufti before elections have proved hollow and false. The agenda of alliance is not being implemented, he said. Mufti had talked about peace, development, dialogue with Pakistan but the ground reality is different. Government is nowhere in sight. Flood victims are aghast, winter is approaching and still the government has been doing nothing to rehabilitate them.
He asked government to convene an all party meeting before implementing the Food Security Bill in Jammu and Kashmir. The pros and cons of the Bill should be discussed so that people would not suffer.
He urged upon the government to establish AIIMS, IIT and IIM in Kashmir without any delay.
