SRINAGAR: Minister for Industries & Commerce, Chander Prakash Sharma, and Minister for Cooperatives, Chering Dorjay Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the procurement and sale of Raw Pashmina by SICOP.
The meeting was attended Chairman APGCMS , Ladakh/Executive Council , LAHDC, Secretary Industries & Commerce Department, Director Handicrafts, Managing Director, SICOP, President, KCCI, Representative of FCIK, Representative of Kashmir Pashmina Karigar Union (KPKU) and Secretary and Executive members of APGCMS
The meeting discussed in detail the modalities for sale of raw pashmina purchased by SICOP from ACPGCMS.
SICOP was asked to explore the possibility of selling pashmina through open auction so that sale proceeds may be utilized for purchase of raw pashmina from ACPGCMS, Leh on negotiated prices as per the MoU.
