SRINAGAR:  Two Jammu and Kashmir policemen who decamped with rifles and ammunition in Doda district have joined militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen. This was claimed by the Hizb Chief Syed Salahuddin in a statement issued to local news agency CNS.

Hizb Spokesperson Salim Hashmi quoting Syed Salahudin appreciated the decision of these two policemen and said that even Special Operation Group personnel have started understanding the relevance and importance of Kashmir freedom struggle.

“The policemen from Doda district, Bashir Ahmed and Muhammad Reyaz have joined Hizb bringing along two AK-47 and one Insas rifles. They are the inspiration for those working for Jammu and Kashmir Police. We hope that in coming time, more and more policemen in a bid to shatter the haughtiness of pro-Indian actors will join militant ranks,” he said.
