2 BSF jawans hurt in Pak firing

Srinagar: Two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were injured when Pakistan troops attacked Indian posts in Nowgam sector of Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday.

Official sources told Srinagar-based news agency GNS that the Pakistan troopers’ targeted India’s Hera Left Post at Toot Maari Gali (TMG) at Nowgam sector at11:30 am today.  They said that the Pakistan firing left two BSF men injured.

Sources identified the injured troopers as Sub-Inspector Jawaharlal Singh and Constable Rahul Yadav of 119 Battalion. They were immediately rushed to hospital for treatment, they said.

Sources said that the BSF also retaliated and the firing continued for about half-an-hour.
