Hurriyat (M) castigates govt for curbing traders protest

SRINAGAR: Hurriyat (M) Monday castigated the state authorities for curbing the trader community protests against the government’s failure to rehabilitate the victims hit by last year’s deluge.

A statement of the outfit read that authorities resorted to house arrest of the Chairman Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, Media Advisor Shahid ul Islam and other leaders including Javaid Ahmad Mir, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War and Mushtaq Sofi on eve of first anniversary of devastating floods.
