Man-Animal conflict: Bear mauls 70-year-old

SRINAGAR: A 70-year-old person was injured after a bear attacked him in Rafiabad area of Baramulla in north Kashmir.

Khazir Ahmad Lone son of Ghulam Ahmad resident of Buddan Rafiabad was attacked and injured by bear in the orchards at Nagam Seer Budden in the jurisdiction of Police Station Dangiwacha, a police official said.

The injured was shifted to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment wherefrom he was shifted to Srinagar hospital for further treatment, the official added.
