Lal Chowk tea vendor finds uncommon customer in Rahul

SRINAGAR: Congress vice-chairman, Rahul Gandhi Friday threw a surprise at the passers-by as he turned up at Lal Chowk and much to the awe of onlookers had a tea from a mobile tea vendor.

Rahul Gandhi spent some time with the vendor sipping teas and once done, he handed over Rs 200 to the vendor.

The vendor said that he was surprised to see Rahul ordering his cavalcade to stop, walking towards to him. “He sat on the bench before telling me, ‘Can I have a cup of tea,’ the vendor quoted the Gandhi scion as having said.
