Police files case against Filling Station for overcharging

Pattan: Police Friday registered a case against the owner of a filling station in North Kashmir’s Pattan town in Baramulla district for allegedly duping the customers, selling fuel to them above the prescribed rates.

A police official said that they received a complaint against ‘Aziz Filling Station’ wherein the complainant Raja Ajaz alleged that the petrol pump owner has been duping the customers by selling petrol at higher rates. “The complainant produced a voucher to establish his claim and police accordingly registered a case vide FIR number 147/2015 u/s 3/7 of Essential Commodities Act against the filling station owner,” the official said.
