Hizb Concerned About Geelani’s Faling Health

SRINAGAR: Expressing concern over the deteriorating health of Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Geelani, Militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen Saturday appealed people of Kashmir to offer special prayers for his waning health. “Geelani Sahab is the soul of Kashmir Freedom Movement. He is the political and ideological guardian of the freedom struggle,” Hizb spokesperson Salim Hashmi quoting outfit chief Syed Sallahuddin said.

In a statement to CNS, Hizb said that during a meeting of Hizb Command Council under the chairmanship of Syed Sallahuddin special prayers were offered for the wellbeing of Syed Ali Geelani. “During the meeting, Hizb thanked people particularly youth of Kashmir for displaying so much love for the Pakistan on its Independence Day on 14. People were also thanked for observing India’s Independence Day as Black Day,” the spokesperson said.

The Hizb further said that it is an eye-opener for India that in presence of lakhs of Indian troopers and restrictions, people of Kashmir unfurled Pakistani green flags. “The unfurling and waving of Pakistani flags makes it evident that people of Kashmir love this country.”

During the meeting it was reiterated that freedom struggle in Kashmir will continue till it is not taken to its logical conclusion. (CNS)
