Kupwara ReT teacher found dead

Kupwara: Asking police to expedite the investigation and conduct a thorough probe into the death of a Rehbar-e-Taleem teacher, the family members and relatives of the deceased Friday during a protest rally said that Javid Ahmad Khan was murdered by unknown persons and police should nab the culprits without any delay.

ReT teacher Javaid Ahmed Khan, a resident of Khan Mohalla Krusan in Lolab area of frontier district of Kupwara was found dead in Armpora area of Qamarwari in Srinagar on Thursday.

Eyewitnesses said that scores of people in Kupwara staged a protest to demand a probe into the death. They alleged that it was a murder as the body of Javid bore torture marks. “There were torture marks on his body, his eyes were damaged by blades and there was a rope tied around his neck,” said the protesters who staged a demonstration in Krusan village.

Khan is survived by four little children and wife.
