Ailing artist receives financial help from CM

SRINAGAR: On behalf of Chief Minister, Mufti Muhammad Sayeed who is also the President of the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Secretary of the Academy Friday presented a cheque of Rs. 50 thousand to ailing artist-writer, Seth Rafi. The artist has been ailing for the past couple of months.

A prominent humourist and writer, Seth Rafi, who is the sole breadwinner of his family, got the financial help after Secretary Academy; Dr. Aziz Hajini took up the issue with the Chief Minister.

Giving details, Dr. Hajini said that the Chief Minister has been kind enough to sanction an amount of rupees fifty thousand for the ailing artist for whom recommendation was made by the Academy last month.

The ailing artist thanked the Chief Minister and Secretary Academy for coming to his help. The Secretary was accompanied by noted artists – Tariq Javed, Ayash Arif, Mushtaque Ali Ahmad Khan and Gul Javed.
