40 kg poppy seized, 3 peddlers held in Budgam

SRINAGAR: Police in Budgam arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 40 kilograms of Poppy Straw from their possession.

During a Naka checking, a police party led by DO Police Post Soibugh, Sub Inspector, Mohammed Saleem, intercepted a Tata Mobile 207 bearing registration number JK04A-2805. 

On checking the vehicle, police seized 40 kilograms of Poppy Straw. The peddlers who were transporting the contraband substance have been taken into custody and were identified as Sonaullah Sheikh son of Abdul Karim, , Ismail  Bhat  son of  Ali Mohammad  Ashraf Kambay son of  Abdul  Ahad (Driver) all resident of Warsangam  Soibugh, Budgam.

Soibugh Police has registered a case in this regard and further investigation is on.
