SRINAGAR: The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon convened a high level meeting of officers here Thursday to review the arrangements with regard to the holding of Revival Day to commemorate the first anniversary of the devastating floods that hit the State last September.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, Director General Youth Services & Sports, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, representatives of J&K Bank, State Bank of India, H.D.F.C Bank, Railways, Khyber Industries, RAMKY, officers of SRTC and Cultural Academy.
The main function in this regard will be held in Botanical Garden, Srinagar where the flood-affected people and the children whose schools were damaged during the flood shall participate along with the young men who played vital role in saving people from floods.
Dr. Samoon said that prizes and awards will be distributed among the brave hearts on the day.
