Army sponsors painting completion at SKIMS

SRINAGAR: Some 4500 children from 85 schools participated in a day-long painting competition organised by the Indian army under the aegis of Chinar Corps at the sprawling lawns of the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura, (SKIMS) here today.

The children lent expression to their love for nature, their family, friends, country and humanity through many different colours in the event based on the theme “United Colours of India”.

The children also benefitted from the presence of professional painters and volunteers who added further colour to the event. The event was organised in collaboration with the J&K Education Department. The Chinar Corps provided the logistics, administration and financial support.
