SRINAGAR: Tyndale Biscoe School, Srinagar, has lifted the Under-19 inter-school football tourney by defeating M.E.T. in a well fought out match played on the AstroTurf of the TRC ground here today.
Skipper Furqan Ali led the champions from the front and registered an impressive win against their contenders with a final tally of four goals to none.
Their winning spree began on July 28 when in their first match, they crushed Government Boys Higher Secondary School Batamaloo with an impressive score of 5-0.
It was followed by another win on July 30 in their quarter final match against Kashmir Harvard School. Shabeeb Hussain and skipper Furqan Ali were among the scorers in the 3-1 goal tally.
On August 3, the Biscoe School played their semi-final against Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Jawar Nagar in which they crushed the opponents with an impressive tally of 5-0.
