BANDIPORE,: About 200 kanals of land are being covered under the scheme High Density Plantation of apple in district Bandipora this year. For this purpose, various incen-tives would be provided to the orchardists. As a part of it, a joint team of the officers and experts of SKUAST Kashmir, Horticulture department and Krishi Vigyan Kendra Bandipora today made an extensive visit of various areas of the district in order to select those places having great potential/feasibility including irrigation facility for the plantation of such kind of apples.
The team members included Chief Horticulture Officer Bandi-pora, Head of Department Pomology SKUAST Kashmir, Pro-gramme Coordinator KVK Bandipora and other Scientists of Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture (CITH) Rangreth, SKUAST and KVK Bandipore.
