Majalis-e-Asad held in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: The 2-day annual Majlis-Asad held at Zadibal Srinagar from August 6th concluded today with participation of thousands of devotees offering congregational prayer of Zuhar and Asar.

Minister for IT, Technical Education and Youth Service and Sports Molvi Imran Raza Ansari who is also President of J&K Shia Association presided over the Majlis proceedings.

MLA Zadibal, Abid Hussain Ansari was also present on the occasion.

In his address, Molvi Imran Ansari threw light on the historical background of Majlis-Asad, incident of Karbala and life and martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS). He called upon people to strictly adhere to the Shair-Allah and hold the way of Taqwa and work for Hussianiyat.

Molvi Ansari also participated in the Zoljanah procession which was taken out from Baba Manzar, passing through various streets and culminated at Imambara Zadibal. Thousands of people participated in the procession reciting Marsiya.

 Ittehadul Muslimeen also organized Majlis-Asad in the city outskirts  in which thousands of devotees from across the valley took part.

Maulana Abbas Ansari addressed the function held at Imambargah Gund Hassi Bhat.

Here also a procession was taken out at the end of the day long function under the leadership of Maulana Masroor Ansari.
