Hizb pays tribute to Talib

Srinagar:  Militant outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Friday paid glorious tribute to police officer turned militant commander Ali Muhammad Dar alias Burhan-u-Din Hijazi who was killed during a gunfight with the government forces on 9 August 1998.

The spokesman of Hizb Salim Hashmi while quoting Syed Salahuddin said Hijazi was a great commander and religious preacher. “He was an ardent member of Jamat-e-Islami and during his service in police department he infused the cops with the love for their land,” Salahuddin said while addressing a meeting called in memory of the slain militant.

Syed Salahuddin also paid rich tribute to the militant Talib Hussain Shah who was killed in Kakapora encounter on Thursday and expressed his  sympathies with the bereaved family. He reiterated that the fight shall continue till Kashmir is resolved as per the wishes and aspirations of the people of Kashmir.” (CNS)
