School bus crushes student to death

Srinagar:  A six year old school going child was killed af-ter he was run over by a school lorry from Little Angles Public School in South Kashmir.

Eyewitnesses said that a private school vehicle (JK03-5543) crushed UKG student Sairab Amin Keelo, a resi-dent of Sehpora Dooru to death when the driver allegedly drove the vehicle backwards soon after the student alighted from the vehicle.

Family members of Sairab Amin Keelu, alleged that Sairab lost his life due to the negligence of the school authorities as according to them the driver was in a hurry to drop the little students at their respective homes. “Due to absence of the registered driver, the vehicle was dri-ven by a school teacher,” the father of the deceased stu-dent told CNS.

A police official said that they are investigating the matter and so far the driver of the vehicle Shabir Ahmed Naiko has been arrested and a case vide FIR number 170/2015 under section 304A has been registered against him.
