Centre flays Abdullah’s remark

Srinagar: The Centre has condemned National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah’s recent statement on Pakistani flags being displayed in Kashmir.

“I don’t agree with him (Mr. Farooq Abdullah) at all. It’s totally wrong and unjustifiable to support such a move,” senior BJP leader and Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said.

Mr. Abdullah on Friday said that “ISIS and Pakistani flags being repeatedly displayed in Kashmir because it is an expression of the “anger” and “frustration” by the youth who want to “wake up the nation.”

Speaking at a press conference here on Saturday, Mr. Naidu said “any amount of local anger, frustration and unhappiness cannot be cause for an Indian to raise Pakistani flag. It is totally unjustifiable.”
