Srinagar: Hizbul Mujahideen has paid rich tributes to the duo affiliated with the outfit who according Hizb Chief were put to death by Indian soldiers in custody.
Addressing a meeting at Hizb Media Centre that was called in remembrance of martyr Abdul Ahad Kulangami and martyr Ali Muhammad Shahbaz, Hizb Chief and UJC chairman Syed Salahuddin while paying glorious tributes to the duo said that Kulangami was arrested by Indian troopers and was put to death in custody on July 3, 1993. Martyr Kulangami was not only a leading Jammat-e-Islami leader but was also Chief Instructor in Hizb education cell, he said.
Hizb spokesperson Salim Hashmi in a statement to CNS while quoting Salahuddin said that like Kulangami, Indian troopers also killed the son of Islam and the epitome of Kashmir Freedom Struggle Ali Muhammad Shahbaz in custody on July 5, 1996. Shahzab was a great poet and poetry depcted his love for Islam, Karbala and Hussain (RA).
Naib Amir, Hizb, Saifullah Khalid also addressed the meeting and reiterated that the mission of martyrs will be taken to its logical conclusion. (CNS)
