SRINAGAR: Four non-locals, including two non-muslins have been detained by police for their alleged involvement in the recent stone pelting incidents in the old city here.
Official sources said that they were detained in separate raids after their involvement in stone pelting incidents surfaced. They have been identified as Mahinder Singh (Goldsmith) son of Bishet Singh of Uttrakhand, Ram Kumar (labourer) son of Ram Hengen of Bihar, Muhammad Nawaz (carpenter) and Muhammad Danish (Carpenter), both hailing from Uttar Pradesh (UP).
Recently there have been renewed protests in the downtown Srinagar and on several occasions Pakistani and ISIS flags surfaced during these protests.
