MDL organizes Quran Conference

Srinagar:   Muslim Democratic League organized a Quaran Conference in Srinagar wherein Speakers urged upon the Muslims to follow the tenants of Islam in the light of holy Quaran.

The conference was presided by patron MDL, Hakim Abdul Rashid. The speakers included Moulana Sajad, Mufti Mushtaq , Moulana Haq Noor, Professor Nazir Ahmad Makhdoomi .

Hurriyat  Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani addressed the conference via telephone.

Geelani stated that Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the holy month of Ramadan to act as path of reformation for humanity and to understand it, one needs to be pure in acts and deeds.

“Today Muslims all over the world are facing injustice and suppression because they are distant from teachings of Holy Quran. All but one million Indian troopers present in Kahsmir cannot keep us under occupation if we in a united voice follow the path given to us through holy Quran,” he said.

In his Presidential address Hakim Abdul Rashid Stated  that, “ It is the need of hour that we rise above our sectarian difference and be united as Muslims and be faithful servants of Allah and organize Quran teachings and deliberations in every house. We should pray that we get freedom from all types of slaveries and oppression.”
