Elderly woman thrashed by burglars

Srinagar:   An elderly woman was ruthlessly beaten up by two burglars at her residence in Zainakot, Omarabad in the outskirts of Srinagar city.

Police sources said that Tasleema Bano (72) wife of late Ghulam Nabi Ahangar was alone at her house when two burglars with an intention to loot entered into her house. “Finding her alone, the two burglars demanded keys of the lockers. When she refused they beat her up injuring her critically,” said a police official adding that a case in Parimpora Police Station has been registered and hunt has been launched to trace the culprits.
