Srinagar: Jamiat Ahlihadees president professor Ghulam Ahmad Butt Almadani Saturday strongly condemned the ‘ransacking’ of sacred Jamia Masjid Srinagar.

While terming the attack on Jamia Masjid as unacceptable he said, “Rulers who have no respect for places of worship have no right to call themselves civilized humans.”

Terming ‘desecration’ of Jamia Masjid or any other Masjid as unacceptable, he said teargas shelling and beating people engaged in prayers and ransacking a Masjid, shows that mindset of rulers. “A Muslim can accept anything but he cannot tolerate attacks of Masajid,” he said and condemned the assault on journalists at Jamia Masjid Srinagar by some unknown person and also attacks on students by police and forces at Kashmir University.
