Army soldier hurt in misfire

Srinagar: An army soldier was injured in an accidental gunfire at Rajwar forests along Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday.

Official sources said that the soldier identified as Sepoy Vikram Singh of 21 RR posted near LoC in Rajwar forest area of Handwara received bullet injury after his service rifle went off accidentally.

The soldier was immediately rushed to military hospital Drugmulla in the district where he is being treated upon. (GNS)
