Biscoe, Mallinson students stage protest


Srinagar: Commencement of the mid-term examinations in the holy month of Ramazan sparked a protest in Srinagar as scores of male and female students from Tyndale Biscoe and Mallinson School Srinagar Wednesday assembled at Press Enclave and staged a demonstration against the authorities of these two schools.

Braving rains students present at the protest alleged that Tyndale Biscoe and Mallinson School authorities have become continuous source of mental agony to them. “The school management looks at the situation through their prism. Our syllabus is incomplete and our schools have declared the exams and that too in the holy month of Ramazan,” said a class 9th student.

Carrying placards seeking justice and postponement of examinations, the students shouted slogans against the school administration. “No student is willing to appear in the examinations during the month of Ramazan. If the school administration does not change their decision, then we will be left with no option but to come on roads again,” said that protesting students.

Pertinently, a few days back the students of Burn Hall School had taken to streets alleging that school administration overburdens them with frequent tests.
