Army soldier killed in Bonyar

Srinagar: An army soldier was killed in an accidental gunfire while he was performing duty at Bonyar area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.

Official sources said that the soldier identified as Sepoy Sukhinder Singh of 8 Rajput Regiment posted at Sharmili Post hit by a bullet when his service rifle went off accidentally resulting in critical injuries to him.

The soldier was immediately rushed to army’s 92 base hospital here in Srinagar, however, doctors present there declared him brought dead.
