Manhandling Scribe: Rashid demands arrest of Hanjura

Srinagar: Demanding immediate arrest of PDP Minister Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura for manhandling a senior journalist, MLA Er Rashid Tuesday said that time has come that people start an organized movement to put an end to VIP culture in Jammu and Kashmir.

“VIP doesn’t stand for Very Important Person but it stands for Very ‘Insecure’ Person. All these people with VIP tag have been feeling insecure and they have no guts to move in open,” Rashid said soon after the culmination of protest held by media fraternity against the brute force used by security guards on Javid Ahmed Malik.

Rashid said that it is the duty of the Chief Minister to curb his unbridled Ministers and party leaders. “Hanjura leveled false allegations on the scribe and at the same time misused his position and power and tried to implicate Malik in a false case.

He is guilty and needs to be taught a lesson. Chief Minister must seek resignation from him and ordered for his immediate arrest,” he said and added that the arrogance of PDP Ministers will cost the party heavily in near future.
