Heavy downpour on June 23: MeT
Srinagar: Weather Office Saturday said that there will be intermittent rainfall across Jammu and Kashmir from June 21. The intermittent rainfall will continue till June 25 and in between on 23 June there is every possibility that Valley will witness a heavy thunder shower, according to the Director MeT Office, Sonam Lotus.
He said that from June 25, weather will mostly remain dry but, if there will be apprehension of heavy rainfall, people will be informed before hand, he said adding that MeT is expecting light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thundershowers in the state from till Thursday and on the same day on June 25, weather will start improving.
Sonam Lotus said that from Sunday to Wednesday there will be occasional rainfall in Jammu and some parts of Kashmir. This phenomenon called pre-monsoon showers will continue till June 25, he said and added that due to the occasional rainfall, there will be slight decrease in day and night temperatures.
