SKUAST-K organizes workshop on weather changing, forecasting


SRINAGAR, JUNE 08: The Division of Agronomy, Sheri Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Tech-nology (SKUAST-K) Srinagar has organized a week long training/group meeting workshop regarding ‘’Use of Crop Si-mulation Modal and Decision Support System in Agromet Ad-visory Services’’ in collaboration with India Metrological De-partment New Delhi. The programme has been started from June 08 and would be concluded on June 14, 2015.

On this occasion, the inaugural ceremony of the work-shop was performed by Director Research SKUAST, Dr. Shafiq Ahmad Wani, whileas Head of Department Agro Metrological Department New Delhi, Dr. K.K. Singh was chief guest on this occasion. The Director Research, University of Agriculture, Telangana, Dr. Raj Reddy was guest of honour and Head of Department Agronomy SKUAST, Dr. K.K. Singh was also present in the workshop.

The experts of Agriculture Technology deliberated the various issues on the subject and stressed upon the faculty members of the SKUAST to provide new and innovative tech-nologies introduced in the Agriculture sector including weather forecast and high yielded variety of seeds.

The workshop was also attended by Faculty Members of SKUAST-Kashmir and Agricultural expert of various states.
