SRINAGAR, JUNE 8: In a function held in Assembly Hall of the Army Public School (APS), B.B. Cantonment, Sri-nagar, here today, Governor Mr. N.N. Vohra, participated in the ceremony to felicitate class 12th toppers and the teachers of this School.
The Governor complimented Lt. Gen. Subrata Saha, GOC, 15 Corps; Principal, Mr. Sandeep Marhatta; teachers and the students and their parents for the excellent performance of APS in the class 12thexamination, in which the overall performance of APS Srinagar is right at the top of 134 Army Public Schools all over the country. The Governor congra-tulated the Principal and teachers for this achievement not-withstanding the serious difficulties and loss of teaching time which was caused by the floods last year. He observed that the credit for this tremendous success is attributable to the se-riousness, hardwork and dedication on the part of the principal, teachers and the students who stood up in the face of hard times.
The Governor lauded the School Managements efforts in promptly restoring the flood affected infrastructure and making it the first school in the Valley to resume studies after the floods in September 2014. On the occasion, he stressed the vital importance of good schools and dedicated teachers in producing good students who would pave the way for a bet-ter tomorrow.
Lt. Gen. Subrata Saha, GOC, 15 Corps, on the occasion, presented the Welcome Address and highlighted the Schools recent achievements.
