Mir for one month session of Assembly Srinagar: JK PCC Chief G. A. Mir Friday sought one month session of Legislative Assembly as 10 or 15 days session is not enough to debate and discuss every issue pertaining to common masses.


Stating that members of the Assembly or Council must get the opportunity to put forth their views and to debate the issues threadbare in the august house, so that issues of every nature can be addressed. He urged government that duration of Assembly session must be of one month atleast.

Mir also praised former Chief Minister Gulam Nabi Azad for fast track construction of Assembly Complex, which is fully equipped with all the facilities. Knowing that members would not able to discuss everything during short session former Chief Minister got the construction work of complex done on fast track basis, just to give opportunity to the members to identify the problems with regard to people and Development of State, for their resolution.

The PCC chief said that no Chief Minister of the State except Azad could manage to complete the construction of much needed Assembly Complex in Srinagar.
