Srinagar: A group of people Thursday targeted passen-ger buses and smashed their windowpanes after a minor boy suffered injuries during a demolition drive in Panta Chowk area of Srinagar city.
Reports said that demolition drive is going on in full swing in Panta Chowk area where government has al-ready declared compensation for house and landowners for road widening purpose. Eyewitnesses told CNS that during demolition drive a minor boy was injured that an-gered some locals who not only attacked JCB but also pelted stones on the passengers vehicles, damaging their windowpanes. The locals blocked the traffic resulting in traffic jam, however, a police team led by SHO police station Panta Chowk immediately rushed to spot and pacified the angry protesters. (CNS)
