CS reviews land allotment for IIMC Jammu

SRINAGAR: The Monitoring Committee for setting up of IIMC campus at Jammu headed by Chief Secretary, Mr. Iqbal Khandey on Monday discussed the issues related to the allotment of land for establishing a permanent campus at Jammu.

The Chief Secretary asked the Higher Education Department to work out in consultation with the Law Department, the modalities for leasing out land to IIMC for establishing the permanent campus.

The institute has already started functioning in the state since 2012-13 through its Regional Centre at Jammu.

The meeting was attending by Commissioner Secretary H&UD, Mr. Bipul Pathak, Commissioner Secretary Higher Education, Ms. Sarita Chauhan, Secretary Revenue, Mr. Mohammad Afzal Bhat, Secretary Law, Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Mir and other senior officers.
