SRINAGAR: A day after Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani asked United Jihad Council to reveal the truth behind ‘Lashkar-e-Islam’- the organization claiming the responsibilities of attacks on mobile towers and outlets, spokesperson of UJC, Syed Sadaqat Hussain Monday said that ‘Lashkar-e-Islam’ is the brain child of Indian agencies.

In a statement to CNS, the spokesperson said that, “UJC has already made it clear that Lashkar-e-Islam has nothing to do with the freedom struggle going on in Kashmir. This group got itself exposed when it threatened the Hurriyat leaders asking them not to participate in the funeral processions of martyrs. The activities of this group is the result of popularity of Mujahideen in Kashmir,” the spokesperson said.

“UJC wants to make it clear that it will give a befitting reply to all those elements who are hell-bent on defaming the Kashmir freedom struggle. (CNS)
