Teenager found hanged in Beeru

Srinagar: A teenager was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Beerwah area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district; police sources said on Saturday.

Javed Ahmad, 18, son of Abdu Samad Hajam was found hanging from a walnut tree near his house in Chakmarg village area of Beerwah by his family early this morning. Police reached the spot after informed by the family of the deceased boy.

After legal formalities, sources said, the body was handed over to the family for last rites.

“It is not clear if the boy has committed suicide or was murdered. A case under section 174 Cr Pc has been registered and investigations started,” sources added.
